– Parent Meeting, 7:00pm

This meeting is for all current BEST
families. This will be an opportunity to meet with Bullets founder
Bill Schalz and me, and to get information regarding registration,
group placements, fees, etc. We will be on hand to answer any
questions you might have.
Thursday, August
16th – Registration for SC season
begins
Registration will be open for any swimmer
who swam for BEST in the 2011-12 SC season or 2012 LC season. You
can find information regarding how to register for the upcoming
season by clicking here. Here, you will find
documents outlining the SC season fees, practice schedule, and
group placements (all up soon). You will also find general team
information, such as club philosophy, group descriptions, and anything you
need to know about the Academy Bullets on this site.
You will register on academybullets.com as a NEW
MEMBER. Families who register by 11:59pm on August 26th
will receive a $25 discount per swimmer.
Tuesday, August
28th – Wednesday, August 29th –
New Swimmer Tryouts, 4:45pm – 5:45pm
Bartlett Park
District
Tryouts will be from 4:45-5:15pm for
all swimmers 10 years of age and younger. Tryouts will be from
5:15-5:45pm for swimmers 11 years of age and older. Sign-up
for the tryouts begin at 4:15pm on August 28th at
the pool. Swimmers should plan to attend both days of tryouts.
There is no cost to tryout. Please note - swimmers who competed
for BEST in the past 12 months do not need to attend tryouts.
The minimum requirement to try out for the swim club is to be
able to swim one length of freestyle and one length of backstroke
without stopping. We will be holding new parents meeting on
August 29th at 5:15pm during the tryouts. Swimmers
will be notified via email and our web site within 48 hours of the
completion of the tryouts whether or not they made the
team.

Stroke Clinic, 4:15pm – 6:00pm

District
Our Stroke Clinic Program is open for
anyone wishing to attend - not just current Academy Bullets team
members. Swimmers must be able to swim 1 length of the pool
freestyle and backstroke without stopping to attend the clinics.
The clinic dates are Tuesday, September 4th through Friday,
September 7th at Bartlett Park District. Swimmers must notify us
they are attending prior to the start of the clinic, as we only
have a limited amount of space within our stroke clinic program.
Anyone choosing to attend our stroke clinic must email Coach Kelly to notify
her that they are attending and which stroke clinic program they
are choosing by August 31st. You can find more
